Hellbent For Hollywood – VOTE NOW!

I’ve just been cast in a new competition reality show.  Kind of an America’s Next Top Model but for actors.   The idea is to launch the career of an actor in Hollywood while highlighting the realities and problems with methods traditionally used by the powers that be of Hollywood entertainment.

Very top secret at the moment. I need your votes to increase my Q-factor before the taping begins.  It can help save me from elimination as the show progresses.

Just go to the website www.hellbentforhollywood.com and register on the right hand side to vote.  Put in my #220 in the form provided. It’s easy and you can always remove yourself from the email list if you don’t want to receive email updates.  Thanks.  This is a new website so much more blogs, pictures, and videos to come…

  1. SIXTH DAY OF SHOOTING HELLBENT UPDATE THURSDAY 9/10

Tonight was kind of a mock interview from hell with the host who talked on the phone throughout most of it and didn

  2. FIFTH DAY OF SHOOTING HELLBENT UPDATE WEDNESDAY 9/9

I can’t believe this is only the 5th day. It seems like an eternity. This show has really gotten under all of our skins. In this short time we have bonded over our successes and mostly failings. The emotions run high on cutting day. I lived to survive another day. Another 15 or so cut for not taking direction or for other reasons we will never know and only about 20 left. I am very sad to see them go. New scripts for tomorrow. We have no idea what hell awaits those who continue on.

  3. FOURTH DAY OF SHOOTING HELLBENT UPDATE TUESDAY 9/8

It’s only the 4th day but it feels like a lifetime already. The morning challenge went well. We did a camera direction skills test which consisted of following directions and moving your eyes and face in different directions and hitting your mark without looking. Was still high pressure and quick but I managed to stay fairly calm and focused and did very well.

However, then we were given a new scene to come back and do in the evening in about 4 hours. I went home and worked on a new memorization technique which worked great. But when I walked out on that set with all the lights and cameras and the stressed out director barking directions in overdrive I started to lose focus again and lost the lines. I did better than last time and managed to salvage some of the movement and some of the lines but very rocky and made it to the end of the script barely. I just have to remember the quote I read in the bathroom earlier that day for inspiration, “Unless you do something beyond what you have already mastered you will never grow.” I continue to fail but continue to grow. I just don’t know if I am going to be able to do it quick enough to keep up with this show.

  4. THIRD DAY OF SHOOTING HELLBENT UPDATE FRIDAY 9/4

A black day for me. Totally blanked on the lines in my scene. Worst performance or audition of my life, literally. Couldn’t regain my focus and didn’t make it to the end. My brain short circuited and my memory crashed and burned on the studio floor. Went home during the break and cried for two hours. Not so much about the show but about my poor performance. I had worked on the scene and could have nailed it but I underestimated my lack of ability to stay calm under pressure, my desire to stay on this show, and my lack of memorization skills. My likability factor seems to have saved my butt from elimination. 11 people were eliminated for losing their dialogue under pressure. A very heavy and exhausting day for all..

  5. SECOND DAY OF SHOOTING HELLBENT UPDATE THURS. 9/3

Still hot as hell. Talked about the importance of honesty. Six people cut for lying on their resumes. They handed out scenes at the end of the day and Tim (host / trainer/ judge) told us to “know your dialogue.”
